SACs women conference 2001
Dear sisters!
This is a very special invitation for all of you, libertarian union active women! We, women of the SAC warmly welcome you to a one-day conference on Thursday the 14th of june. Our intention is to start a net of libertarian union active women, to exchange information, struggles and victories, and to support each other in our day to day work. We´ll focus on the things we as women have in common, and what our lifes looks like as female workers and union activists. We´ll begin the day with presentations and reports, and then split into workshops on the following issues:
- Working environment:
sexual harrasment, stress and the wear and tear of our bodies - Social issues and insurances:
reduction in working hours, parental leave- not women issues but a reality for women- how do we change the reality - Gender segregration on the labour market:
wagediffrences caused by "low-status women work", health and care sector. - Union strategies, what is the reality for women in our different countries versus the official image of equality. How do we want to work in the union as women, alternative strategies to use and develop
- Discrimination of homosexuals
The conference is free, and there´ll be really cheap housing. If you need childcare, please let us know as fast as possible!
